Opal fossicking - A public fossicking area is located just 500m from the caravan park, fossicking licences are available from the shop. Try your luck.
Opal shops - Various opal shops are scattered around the town, with opals ranging from the more affordable to spectacular specimens. had some luck fossicking? Many of the shops will cut and polish your findings for you.
Artesian Bore - The artesian bore head is located directly in front of the general store, water comes out 57 degrees Celsius and provides water to the entire town.
Hot Artesian Pools - Open daily the hot artesian pools are a must when you visit Yowah. A disability hoist is available for those with mobility problems. Entry to the pools are $2.50 per person.
'The Bluff' Lookout - Approximately 4kms from town is 'the bluff' lookout great spot for a picnic and fantastic at sunrise and sunset. Wood-fire bbq facilities
Sunday markets (Easter-October) - Opal markets are run weekly on Sundays during tourist season. Located next to the town hall, markets begin at 1pm.
RTC - Rural Transaction centre houses the information centre, library and the Yowah nut café.
Annual Opal Festival - Held the 3rd weekend of July. Two days of Opal markets, food and live entertainment in the evenings. Book early for caravan sites as spots are limited.
